ECG247 participated in an important meeting about the future of health technology.
We had the opportunity to provide input to Ministers Jan Christian Vestre and Karianne Tung on how Norway can strengthen the development and implementation of health technology. The meeting was facilitated by Norway Health Tech and Digital Norway, on the initiative of the Ministry of Health and Care Services (HOD) and the Ministry of Digitalisation and Public Administration (DOFD).
Several health technology companies presented both the opportunities offered by new technology – and the challenges that come with it, especially when AI and cloud services are involved. ECG247 shared experiences from hospitals and clinics that have implemented our innovative system for heart monitoring and arrhythmia detection. The results show how the solution contributes to efficiency, resource savings, and improved healthcare services for patients.
At the same time, we highlighted important barriers:
- The need for faster approval of data security and privacy
- Lack of incentives for general practitioners, which means the pressure on hospitals continues
ECG247 aims to help relieve hospitals by moving parts of the service to general practitioners – at a lower cost for the public sector. To succeed, the framework conditions must be adapted so that innovation actually reaches patients.
Thank you to everyone involved for a constructive meeting!
