New guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation have recently been published by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). The guidelines specify that a single-lead ECG is sufficient to make the diagnosis of atrial fibrillation.

The ECG247 provides a single-lead ECG. The advantages are high usability due to the small size and a long registration periode. A long recording period is important for detecting rhythm disturbances that occur intermittent and that do not always cause symptoms. The ECG247 also has a patented noise shielding technology that limits interference from clothing and physical activity.
