Senior physician Marius B Haraldsen, Oslo University Hospital Ullevål presented reliability results for atrial fibrillation interpretation in the NORSCREEN study at the ESC25 congress in Madrid recently. The NORSCREEN study has included 50,549 participants and is now conducting self-screening for atrial fibrillation with ECG247. Reliable diagnosis of atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias from the ECG equipment is a prerequisite for conducting such studies. Previous studies with thumb ECG have shown low reliability. ECG247 has continuous ECG recording for arrhythmias, which simplifies and improves arrhythmia interpretation compared to short ECG recordings.
