The NORSCREEN study is a national screening investigation for atrial fibrillation in people ≥65 years of age. The study is led by Professor Sigrun Halvorsen at Oslo University Hospital/University of Oslo and is jointly funded by all the regional health authorities. The study uses ECG247 for self-screening for atrial fibrillation in the study participants.

The study will include 35,000 participants and the first 20,000 are included within the first  year. Preliminary results from the study were presented to the Norwegian atrial fibrillation network at Lysebu today by Professor Halvorsen.
