We are launching a new feature in the ECG247 portal that significantly simplifies digital collaboration for healthcare professionals. Using a unique access code, a general practitioner (GP), for example, can now grant a cardiologist direct, temporary access to a patient’s ECG recording for a swift second opinion.

Until now, obtaining a second opinion on an ECG recording has often required manual export routines, printing, or external secure messaging systems. With the new functionality in the ECG247 portal, this process is now quick and easy. The healthcare professional who initiates the examination (e.g., a GP) can now grant temporary, secure access to a specific ECG247 test directly to another verified colleague (e.g., a cardiologist).

Simple and Secure Sharing via a Unique Code

The solution is designed to be both intuitive and secure in a busy clinical environment. Sharing is completed in three simple steps:

  1. Generate Code: The GP (or other initiating healthcare professional) accesses the relevant ECG247 test in the portal and generates a unique access code for that specific test.

  2. Share with Specialist: The code is shared directly with the receiving cardiologist (e.g., via telephone, secure messaging, or during direct consultation).

  3. View the Recording Instantly: The cardiologist logs into their own ECG247 portal, enters the unique code, and instantly accesses the relevant ECG recording for review.

High Security

The access granted via the code is strictly temporary and applies only to the specific recording. Since both parties must be verified users within the ECG247 system, all patient data remains safe and protected within the platform, in full compliance with current privacy regulations. The access is temporary and can be revoked at any time.
