ECG247 has been awarded a contract by NTNU following a tendering process. ECG247 will deliver sensors and software during 2025-2026 to the Hunt study (The Trøndelag Health Study). HUNT is a large, Norwegian population-based health survey that includes health information and biological material from the inhabitants of Trøndelag.

NTNU chose ECG247 based on the quality, price, and environment award criteria. For ECG247, it is another vote of confidence that a leading research environment has chosen to use Norwegian newly developed medical technology.

In the fourth Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT4, 2017-2019), NTNU, Trondheim, over 2,400 participants were examined with cardiac ultrasound and a treadmill exercise test. In a new project, these participants will now be examined for heart rhythm disorders with ECG247. The goal of the project is, among other things, to better understand the underlying factors for the development of atrial fibrillation, with a focus on the connection between heart structure and function and physical fitness. The project is led by Professor Håvard Dalen and Postdoctoral Fellow Jon Magne Letnes at the Department of Circulation and Imaging (NTNU) and the Department of Cardiology at St Olavs Hospital.
